Ataraxia is just a short 10 minutes boat ride away from the main island of Bocas Del Toro where the airport is located. Our location on Isla Bastimentos allows you to do as little or as much as you desire. You can choose between spending all day lounging in a hammock overlooking jungle and sea, swimming & snorkeling the neighboring reef, take many kayak adventures, relax at a nearby beach, go diving, surfing or go explore all that Bocas archipelago has to offer and keep your eyes out for the sloths and other wildlife that live in the area.

Ataraxia is a family run business, with owners Pierre & Manon living on the property with their son Noah. We strive to be welcoming, accommodating to your requests, and to make you feel at home while being discreet. We look forward to having you here, and sharing our piece of paradise with you!

Being committed to sustainable business practices, Ataraxia runs off the grid. The water supply entirely depends on rain collection and the electricity is solar and produced on-site. Being limited in our electricity supply and wishing to restrict the use of fossil energies, there is no A/C in the rooms. However the ceiling fans assure comfortable temperatures and air flows in the rooms.

For those interested in adding something extra. We can also organize excursions, day trips and workshops to the nearby sights for your group to enjoy all the extraordinary places that Bocas Del Toro offers for no extra fee and have plenty of recommendations to share.

We currently have 4 bungalows with their own private deck and stunning views and 3 more basic bedrooms. There is an option for every budget!

By booking here you will have breakfasts included in your stay, use of kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling gear for free.

Prices range from 60$/night up to 140$/night depending on the type of room and time of the year.
