Nestled in the jungle and bordering the Caribbean sea, Ataraxia is the perfect place to host your next retreat. Reconnect with yourself, friends, lover or your family. Escape the city and disconnect from the world in your own cozy bungalow or room surrounded by nature.

Ataraxia is just a short 10 minutes boat ride away from the main island of Bocas Del Toro where the airport is located. Our location on Isla Bastimentos allows you to do as little or as much as you desire. You can choose between practicing yoga in our yoga shala overlooking jungle and sea, or spending all day lounging in a hammock, swimming & snorkeling the neighboring reef, take a kayak adventure, go diving, surfing or go explore all that Bocas archipelago has to offer and keep your eyes out for the sloths and other wildlife that live in the area.

Whatever type of retreat you are looking to host, we aim to provide a perfect retreat experience for small groups of between 4 and 16, over a minimum of 2 days. We can cater for you or you can bring your own caterer.

Ataraxia is a family run business, with owners Pierre & Manon living on the property with their son Noah. We strive to be welcoming, accommodating to your requests, and to make you feel at home while being discreet. We look forward to having you here, and sharing our piece of paradise with you!

Currently, we have 3 Seaview Jungalows each with 1 king-size bed (or 2 twin beds)
1 Jungalow with a jungle view with a queen sized bed.
In addition to that we also have 3 Standard rooms with their own private bathroom) in a house just a few steps away from the water . One of those rooms has 1 single bed and 1 queen-size bed (triple room) , the second one features 1 queen-size bed (double room) and the third one has 1 queen-size bed and 2 single beds.

We can accommodate 13 persons with their own beds in shared rooms or 17 persons if shared double beds.

Being committed to sustainable business practices, Ataraxia runs off the grid. The water supply entirely depends on rain collection and the electricity is solar and produced on-site. Being limited in our electricity supply and wishing to restrict the use of fossil energies, there is no A/C in the rooms. However the ceiling fans assure comfortable temperatures and air flows in the rooms.

We will design a single menu every day taking into account all food restrictions within the group. The price starts at 35$/ person per day and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, infusions and water throughout the day.

For those interested in adding something extra. We can also organize excursions, day trips and workshops to the nearby sights for your group to enjoy all the extraordinary places that Bocas Del Toro offers for no extra fee and have plenty of recommendations.

We are currently offering a special price of 400$ a night to privatize the place in low season (May,June, September and October). (depending on availability)
Or 600$ a night during high season. (November, December,January, February, March, April, July and August)
